Cape & Kantary Hotels is deeply committed to animal welfare and the prevention of cruelty to animals. As part of this commitment, we do not serve shark fin, bird's nest, or foie gras in any of our restaurants. These practices reflect our stance against the exploitation of animals for commercial purposes and ensure that our operations align with ethical and sustainable practices.
In 2014, Cape & Kantary Hotels proudly joined the Fin Free Thailand campaign, pledging to eliminate shark fin soup from the menus across all 17 hotels in the chain. Since then, we have expanded to 24 hotels, continuing our commitment to this important cause.
Fin Free Thailand is partnered with the USAID-funded Asia's Regional Response to Endangered Species Trafficking (ARREST) Program, and the campaign is gaining increasing momentum, with growing requests to expand it regionally.
Founded on January 31, 1994, by the owner of Cape & Kantary Hotels, the Thai Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (TSPCA) is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting animal welfare throughout Thailand. TSPCA works tirelessly to prevent cruelty to animals, rescue those in distress, and advocate for their rights and well-being. The organization also raises awareness about responsible pet ownership and focuses on improving the lives of animals in need across the country.
At Cape & Kantary Hotels, we are proud to support TSPCA’s mission to protect animals. Since the inception of our partnership, we have collaborated on various initiatives that aim to improve the lives of animals and foster a compassionate society. Our contributions include:
